THIS IS WHERE TO START

Are 10 Push-ups good? Should I be able to do more? My BMI says I am overweight, but I am muscular. Does that count for anything? Is weight the only way to tell if I am making progress?

All are common questions I receive. A fitness assessment is the best way to figure out where and how to start. I offer a fitness assessment with the first personal training and/or health coaching session. You may not be interested in health coaching or personal training right now, but you want a more accurate measurement of your overall fitness health.

While tracking your weight and how much you can lift is an excellent way to track progress, there are other things you should measure. Fitness assessments include measuring your strength by performing specific exercises that measure your total body strength. A skin-fold measurement is performed so you can understand your body fat measurements better, which is better than the standard BMI measurements. Heart rate and blood pressure should also be measured if you have health concerns.

I am happy to assist if you are interested in a simple fitness assessment to determine what to work on, where to start or what goal to set.
